Whitchurch Alport Ladies 0 Ludlow Ladies 0

Alport went into this game looking to get three points on the board, but know that a stronger Ludlow side than last season
would push them all the way and that is how it turned out. At full strength except the side lined Emma Lewis, Alport set out to  to keep the ball and make the Ludlow side work hard to hold them. Although having a lot of pressure Alport never made any clear
chances mainly due to the quality defending of Katy Huntbach. Going forward Fran Dixon down the left was always a danger
and kept Alport skipper Louise Wainwright busy all game. The second half was just like the first with both sides giving nothing
away, when the only clear chance of the day came when the keeper saved well from Alix Robinson. On the plus side Alport player of the match Daniella Soler and Kimerley Rutter looked very solid at the centre of defence and new signing Karis McCabe settled in well at right back. Sophie Bruno came off the bench to impress once more up front and is pushing for a start position.
Overall a good quality game with both side deserving a point, Alport need to start creating more clean cut chances and speed
the game up rather than trying to pass sides to death. On the injury front Emma Lewis will be out for month and Key midfield Lucy Ratcliffe is struggling with a knee problem. Flying winger Ellie Davey will be added to the squad for sunday's game at Madeley and will be looking to break into the team adding more pace down the right side.
