Whitchurch Alport Ladies 0  TNS Ladies 6

 

After a great start to the season Alport came crashing back down to earth with a poor team performance against a quality side in TNS in the county cup. I could  make excuses  for my team on the day , but the simple fact is we just simply did not perform in front of a large crowd. Right from the first whistle TNS got the ball down and passed it , whilst Alport  continually gave it away. In the first twenty minutes TNS bossed the game and it was no surprise when they went 2 nil up. Alport did get into the game but could not find a goal to get them going  and just before half time TNS made it 3 nil.

The second half had just started when the fourth arrived to finish the game as a contest.TNS completed the scoring with two more goal's to complete the scoring, even though Alport had the better of the last twenty minutes. The biggest frustration on the day was that each Alport player did ok and never gave up to the final whistle which is a credit to them, but as a team we defended badly and could not keep the ball. You do not become a bad side over night and I have total faith in my players to bounce back from this game.

 

So it is back to league action with a tough looking trip to T.G.L.F.C. on Sunday.
