Bridgnorth travelled to Yockings park to take on league runners up Whitchurch and always knew this would be a tough game as the final pre-season friendly.

Bridgnorth got off to a slow start with Whitchurch having the majority of play.  Whitchurch were relentless in their attack and soon sent the ball flying into the top corner...1-0  Bridgnorth were undeterred by this early goal and soon found form, producing some solid passing from the centre, to send Emma CRAMPTON in with her first...1-1. WHITCHURCH attacked again, forcing Bridgnorth Keeper Rosie TAYLOR to make some excellent saves.

Whitchurch seeing a gap in the back four made it 2-1 and heads began to drop.  Kirsty HAYWOOD making her debut as Captain, focused the team who soon fought back with Anna SORBOM and Becky ALLEN both narrowly missing the target.

Bridgnorth began to show their fighting spirit and displayed some great football. Emma CRAMPTON was the star of the show with a strong determined performance, linking up with Gemma KAY and newcomer Charlotte BEAMAN, creating the space to send in her second from the edge of the 18 yard box ....2-2.

Just before half time Whitchurch powered home their third 3-2

Both teams battled hard but it was Bridgnorth now dominating the midfield.  Again the link between CRAMPTON and KAY was evident as they created space and slid through the Whitchurch defence.  KAY saw her shot rebound off the keeper but Anna SORBOM chasing the loose ball tapping it into the bottom corner to make the final score...3-3.
