Madeley Ladies 0 Whitchurch Alport Ladies 12
After two draws, Alport arrived at Madeley for there first away game of the season. Madeley are a new side to the League
so the Management team where unsure what to expect. Before the game the squad got a major boost when Lucy Ratcliffe
declared that she was fit to start. Left out of the starting eleven where Soler,Bebbington, Lewis,Walker and Madson
due to injuries and notbeing a 100 % fit.
The starting eleven was sent out with the message of three points and get shoots off, this was just what happened with
Alport charging at the home defence straight from the kick off. Starting her first game off the season Stephanie bratton helped
herself to a first half hat trick, with the first two quality finishes. Not to be out done Sarah Field also got three and Alix Robinson
chipped in to complete a seven nil score line at half time.
The second half was a case of how many and with Alport continually passing the ball around the pitch Madeley had not answer,
although they never gave up. Further goal's came from center forward Alix Robinson three, Lucy Ratcliffe one, who could have
had six if it was not for the goal keeper who saved every she throw at her. Sophie Bruno completed the scoring on her first start of the
season.
Over all a first class performance from the Ladies with every player on top of her game, passing the ball like they can and finally finishing
off the chances they make. It speaks volumes how well Amanda Davey is playing when she was again player of the game even with three
players scoring hat tricks. Ellie Davey came off the bench to show she is ready to challenge for a starting place over the next few weeks.
Sunday the Ladies have a home game against a Dudley team that has started the season very well. kick off 12:00.
