After the easy run out last week,the Ladies expected a tough game against a Ludlow side which has improved from last season. With a strong wind and rain around it was always going to be difficult for both sides to play good football, Alport spent almost all the first half in the Ludlow half but with the home keeper pulling off a number of quality saves , along with poor finishing and waiting for something to happen the sides went in level at the break.

The Alport team was told very clearly at half time what was expected against a strong wind in the second half  and they did start to responed .  They contiued  to make chance but just like the  first half  could not find the killer finish.  With time starting to run out, Ludlow started to get the odd break away, but finally after the ball had bounced around the goal line it was Sarah Field who pushed the ball over the line to the relief of the management team. The scoring was complete when the outstanding Lucy Radcliffe finished off a great move to drill the ball into the back of the net. So overall a positive preformance against a very hard working Ludlow side , also the return of Bridie Edwards as sub was good to see although she is lacking match practise after some 6 weeks out.
