After the tough league game last month,Alport know they would have to play to a good standard to progress into the semi final of the cup. Playing against the wind Alport got the ball down and played some excellent football and it was not surprise when Emma Lewis scored from the spot after an handball in the penalty area. With the Ludlow goalkeeper in fine form and backed up by a solid back four, it took everything Alport had to get a second goal. After a good passing move Sarah Field chipped the keeper to give Alport a 2 nil half time lead.

Alport started with the wind in the second half,but Ludlow came out fired up and matched Alport in all departments. Although Alport made chance it would have been unfair on the Ludlow side as the second half was a pleasure to watch, as the stand of football from both sides was a credit to the league.

Again the Alport back line was outstanding and Amanda Davey was first class at the centre of the midfield. The win came at a cost and the ladies will go into their big league clash with TGL.F.C. with key players Lucy Ratcliffe,Emma Lewis,Sam Kehoe out. A number of other players are also struggling and will not train this week.
