Ludlow 29 - 0 Albrighton

 

As a contest this was over after just 10 minutes as Ludlow were already 3-0 up by then, Stevie Cook started the scoring and Kerrie quickly adding 2 and 3. Albrighton seemed shocked as a goal came from almost every attack. It was 19-0 by half time.Holly Davies made her season debut midway through the first half after being out for a month with a foot injury. Also Rachel Venables came on at half time making her season debut and also a Ludlow Town debut for Sue Stokes, these were the real positives of the game. Lisa Preece, Donna Powell, Katy Huntbach, Pip Jackman-day all found the back of the net, all to easy against the 9 player Albrighton. To Albrighton a credit to them as they kept going through out the game, but it was a harsh lesson in their 1st league game in the women’s league. One down side was a serious knee injury 3 minutes from the end, we could of done without, as our next encounter is away to Whitchurch with a tougher test for Ludlow, but well done Ludlow 1 wins i couldn't ask for more.
