Ludlow v Shrewsbury - 23rd September 2007

 

Ludlow at home ,sun shining,and united kicking off 5 15.Three reasons helped to field a full 11 for the first time this season and subs as well . Shrewsbury unfortunately didn't have this luxury having 10 players on the pitch, but it was up to us to take advantage of the situation as other teams had done to us. It was a nervy start for Ludlow having conceded 17 goals in 2 matches , it took a while to get going, but gradually they started  to gain confidence and after 20 mins a goal by Haley Jennings gave Ludlow the boost needed,a goal by Donna Powell gave ludlow a 2.0 lead into half time. After the break Haley scored her second  and Laura Edwards added the fourth. It was my turn to join in by making subs ,Donna P owell scored her second and then super sub Charllotte struck the ball in off the bar for Ludlows sixth. Shrewsbury battled to the end with players playing on with injuryies but it was Ludlow's day. A good performance by team , lets at least hope the sun is shining in Whitchuch next week 1 out of the three would do.
