Bridgnorth V Shrewsbury Town

Shrews report.

Shrewsbury Town arrived at the Severn Centre without a full Squad, but started the game with determination. Although Bridgenorth were scoring well during the first half our stand in keeper Manda Crump did an excellent job while our normal keeper is away on Honeymoon. Shrewsbury had a few chances during the first half with shots from Sophie Palmer and Chantelle Aston going wide. Half time 8 - 0

After re grouping during the break Shrewsbury Town came out with all guns blazing and played an excellent second half. Kath Bradley played well at centre back giving the keeper a lot of support, with our other two defence players Jo Pike and Debs Bradley both defending well to keep Bridgnorth at bay.  We were rewarded for all our hard work as Steph Wiles scored a hat trick for us on her debut. Although we were a few players light all the girls gave 100%. Final score 10 - 3
